STEP ONE – CALL US TODAY

The first step in the roofing process is calling us so we can stop by and take a look at your roof, gather measurements, talk to you about your goals, and assess the complexity of your project. We pride ourselves on explaining everything in detail so you know exactly what to expect. During our visit, we will be assessing the ease or difficulty of accessing the roof from all sides, the height and pitch of your roof, and initially ascertain whether or not the roof has any obvious or potentially unseen damage that needs to be remedied prior to re-roofing.

STEP TWO – THE PROPOSAL

We then write up a proposal that will include all of the information you need to understand the scope of work, the final price, or any extras that may be expected. This will include the brand, style, and color of any products that are needed for your particular job. We recommend that you ask as many questions as possible so we can answer them prior to getting started. This will set your mind at ease prior to the project commencement.

STEP THREE – SCHEDULING

Once your contract is signed, we begin ordering the materials needed for your project, as well as obtain necessary permits and approvals for you. In many cases, material is already in stock, but due to the enormous variety of styles and colors this is not always possible. We inform you as to the availability of the products you have selected, and advise on an expected schedule based on that information. Once the materials are available, they will be delivered directly to your property. Keep in mind that weather plays a large part in deciding when best to begin. We will never remove your old roof and prepare the deck until the weather is clear and safe to do so.

Time for installation can vary based on material availability. Nothing is more frustrating than waiting. In our case, because we fabricate our own metal, you’re one step ahead ahead of the waiting game. All roofing materials are installed according to manufacturer requirement and industry best-practices to ensure that you get the most life out of your new roof. We never cut corners, so rest assured your roof will be installed correctly the first time.

STEP FOUR – SURROUNDING ENVIRONMENT

Roofing your home can get messy during the process. We recommend moving vehicles or any valuable items away from the work site. Our goal is to provide you with exceptional service, and part of this is leaving your home better than we found it.

STEP FIVE –SURFACE PREPARATION

Before installation, we carefully inspect, and sometimes have to repair, the deck to ensure the surface is solid and free of any rot or damage. We then apply our quality waterproof underlayment, followed by installing a drip edge over the facia board to prevent water from getting behind the gutters and underneath the roofing material.

STEP SIX – INSTALLING YOUR NEW ROOF

Surface preparation is followed by a layer of galvanized “flashing” that creates an additional water barrier, while redirecting water away from high-risk areas like skylights, chimneys, and vents. We then further seal alll seams amd joints.

All roofing materials are installed according to manufacturer requirement and industry best-practices to ensure that you get the most life out of your new roof. We never cut corners so that you know your roof is installed correctly the first time.

STEP SEVEN – CLEAN UP & REINSPECT

Our work doesn’t end there. We then reinspect the roof before the city inspector to ensure you’re good to go. We also perform water leak tests. We’re not happy unless you’re happy. With the all-clear, we clean up, load up, and become buddies until your next successful home project!
